This piece is our interpretation of the poem, "And the People Stayed Home" by Kitty O'Meara during the days of the pandemic. Like many people, we felt challenged to grow, nurture and learn new ways of seeing and doing things ... finding the sacred in the scary. The extreme early days of the pandemic and the hysteria around it, was a transformational experience for us as we explored new ways of expressing our supreme gratitude for the gifts of nature, family, friendship, music, literature, play and art. This work is meant to represent an 'uncocooning' of ourselves during the lockdown.
