Our preoccupation with trees may have started on epic hikes but it has led us on a journey to find new ways to tell the stories of trees in their various states of decay. Quite honestly we find ourselves staring at wood ... a lot. One day we noticed that the black walnut pieces looked like sunflowers. That's all the motivation we needed to find our way to this piece.
