Walnut is the heavy hitter in this piece. The beauty of the ancient tree held us spellbound during each step of the process as we acknowledged the stories held in the energy of the   wood. The natural hues were highlighted as each piece was sanded and massaged with Brazilian oil. Also beautiful is the ash, apple, pear and spalted maple that was added to this work. The muted greens and yellows add just enough colour to bring this story together.
